Blink and you might have missed it, but Gloucestershire 10s did make an appearance in this months Rugby World magazine, and here are the pictures to prove it!

England World Cup Star Supports Gloucestershire Girls' Tens

England Women's Rugby World Cup captain Catherine Spencer will be supporting the next generation of rugby stars at the 2011 Gloucestershire 10s Rugby Tournament in April. Spencer captained England to three consecutive Six Nations and a memorable World Cup final in September, narrowly loosing out to New Zealand, before handing back the armband shortly before the start of this year's 6 Nations tournament.

The Gloucestershire 10s is a two day girls' rugby tournament being held over Easter weekend. Following two highly successful years the 2011 event will once again be held at Hartpury College, with an U15 event being held on SATURDAY 23rd April and an U18 event being held on SUNDAY 24th April. The tournament has already attracted a number of entries from across the country and is on track to be the largest and most successful Girls' 10s festival in South West England.

Catherine has confirmed that she will attend both afternoons of the 2011 Gloucestershire 10s and will be available to meet players and supporters before assisting with the presentations at the end of the day. Commenting on the 2011 Gloucestershire 10s Catherine said, "I am very much looking forward to attending the Gloucestershire 10s on Easter weekend. It is great to see the increasing opportunities available to girls to take part in rugby, I am only sorry that I am a little too old to take part in this tournament myself! 10's is a really fun form of the game and I am sure that all involved will really enjoy the weekend."

There are a limited number of places still available at this year's tournament. The tournament deadline has been extended to Monday 28th February. Tournament dates confirmed for Gloucestershire 10's

The tournament organising committee is proud to announce in conjunction with GRFU, Hartpury Sport and RFUW that the Gloucestershire 10's tournament will take place on Easter weekend at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire. 

An U15's tournament will take place on Saturday the 23rd of April with the U18's tournament taking place on Sunday the 24th of April.
